What is FCRA grant?
To receive foreign currency funds, a non-profit NGO must hold an FCRA certificate.
Any form of NGO should apply to the Central Government for approval to receive foreign currency from outside India for
overseas fundraising purposes.
The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank Act) was passed by Congress in 2010,
and it gave the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) rule-making authority under FCRA (except for Section
615(e) (red flag guidelines and regulation) and Section 628 (disposal of records).
What is an NGO's FCRA certificate?
The Foreign Contribution Regulation Act is abbreviated as FCRA. If an NGO has an FCRA certificate,
it is eligible to collect funds from overseas. The NGO must be three years old in order to obtain an FCRA certificate.
Is FCRA related to NGO?
The FCRA Act, as revised in September 2020, prohibited public officials from taking foreign donations and made Aadhaar essential for all NGOs' office-bearers.
The new regulation also prohibits organisations receiving foreign money from using more than 20% of such cash for administrative purposes.

The government fees for FCRA previous approval are 5000, whereas the government fees for new FCRA registration are 100,000.
Aside from that, the NGO must pay a professional cost of $15,000 in order to register their Trust, Society,
